The function of this sub-unit is research and continual scanning
for trends and events that may impact the California community
colleges. The California Postsecondary Education Commission,
the Intersegmental Coordinating Council (a part of the California
Education Roundtable), and the Master Plan for Education, Kindergarten
through University, are external factors that may have direct
implications on the community college system.
