Carl D. Perkins Career Technical Education Act of 2006 State Implementation
The Career Technical Education Act of 2006 was signed into law on August 12, 2006. The Act requires that the state submit a new State Plan for Career Technical Education in Spring 2008. The system office has developed these pages to bring the human resources of California and the community colleges in particular to bear on the development of issue papers that can inform policy as the new state plan for Career Technical Education is developed.
These planning and development resources and documents for California’s implementation of the new Perkins (Perkins IV) Act are being made available to inform and generate input. Most of these documents are in draft form and are not for publication or citation in other publications. These areas are password protected. Passwords are available from the local community college vocational dean or the monitor for the particular region.
