The Facilities Planning Unit provides capital outlay and local assistance project support to over 109 colleges, 54 established centers, 42 emerging centers and thousands of out reach centers from Yreka near the Oregon border, to Chula Vista near the Mexican border.

Assistance and support is provided for the construction and remodeling of new buildings and centers, the maintenance and repair of existing buildings and campus infrastructure, the removal of hazardous substances and the equipping of the colleges to meet divergent Statewide enrollment needs.
